Fillers
The following products are used as fillers that are added to resins to manufacture, adhesive glue, fairing products, fillers and bog.
All of these products are lightweight dust size particles.  Respirator, goggles and gloves are recommended when handling.

Aerosil:
Is lightweight filler for use with both polyester and Epoxy resin.
It has “non sag” properties when added to resin and when added to Epoxy, makes ideal glue.
Aerosil can also be added to “Q-cells” when making a fairing mix to improve non-sag quantities.

Micro balloons:
Are light -weight microscopic phenolic bubbles used as filler for both Polyester and Epoxy resin. This product is deal for fairing due to ease of sanding. The product can be used under the waterline on permanently immersed vessels.

Talc:
The heavy weight of fillers is used with polyester resin as a filler or bog type glue. Inexpensive to purchase and use; Talc makes an ideal bogging glue.
Talc being denser than other products is harder to file and sand.

Q-cells:
Is relatively inexpensive filler that can be mixed with either Polyester or Epoxy resin. When used with Polyester resin or Flow coat, it makes ideal filler and is suitable for repairing “dings" in surfboards. Aerosil is generally added to Q-cells to produce an excellent non-sagging fairing mix.

Cab-o-sil M-5:
Is untreated fumed high priority silica which provides rheology control, reinforcement and or free flow in numerous applications, including adhesives, sealants coatings, cosmetics pharmaceuticals, foods and inks.  It is similar to, and has the same use as Q-cells.
