Wax
Wax is used as a mould release agent.  The wet wax is applied to an applicator and applied in a circular motion, allowed to dry and then polished off with a clean soft rag. A clean soft rag must be used between each and all-subsequent layers of wax. It is imperative that all wax be polished from the mold as “fish-eye” or pre-release will be a problem on the fresh wax. Do not polish with high-speed buffers!

PVA
In liquid form is applied by cloth, brush or spray gun. The PVA is ideal for one off jobs or when “breaking in” in a new mould.  The product is water-soluble and is easy to clean off.  Care must be taken when using the product, as too little product will cause the mould and laminations to bond, too much can cause imperfections such as “gatoring “ (impressions of alligator hide) of Gel-coat.
